MOTHER …
Long before the God wakes up in the east,
She leaves her bed, to attend her constant, unappreciated deeds;
Every creature would enjoy her services once atleast,
Never with a need to express their set of needs.
Though through centuries, she was on same role and duty,
None could ever trace, in her, slightest exhaustion to bear;
pouring down more, but never emptied of beauty,
her heart is an eternal bowl of love and care.
Her twinkling eyes teach the life essence –
The joy in living for others and in aiding the helpless;
Her smiling lips preach us the best lessons –
Contentment, forgiveness, patience and boldness.
Her gentle touch consoles us in times of pain,
And strives incessantly, to comfort and boost our spirits;
Her tender words revive the might and moral again,
She’s the only one who, for us, can spend all her minutes.
The warmth of her affection could become a base,
In changing an evil person into a social reformer;
and twice is the strength of her grace,
which can mould a dumb into an incredible performer.
Her joy is in inspiring any child, irrespective of race,
Her pride is in their success, accomplishment of goals;
Pure, matchless, most cherishable is her embrace,
Which has, in it, a friend, a maid and many more roles.
In this bad world, where anything can go wrong,
Where selfishness can infect a husband, sister or a brother;
The only reliable relation to be sustained long
Is that of a selfless, offering and a lovely mother.
Disregarded by his children, when the poor God rushes to report,
Witnessed by the flickering stars and envious moon;
She takes him into her lap to soothe , lull and support,
giving him peace and solitude as new boon.
Learning from her, to forgive a child’s every offence,
God excuses man’s arrogance and deviation;
And joining us, indebted, to bow to her in reverence,
Gains back his strength to persist with the creation.
